Força Martial Arts in Russellville
Gives Back to the Local River Valley Community

Força Martial Arts & Fitness LLC, located just west of Saint Mary’s in Russellville, offers a variety of programs that serve the local community.  Força’s newly formed Charity Team is leading several programs aimed at giving back to the River Valley.  In addition to events led by our Charity team, Força also operates a 501c3 non-profit organization and engages in a variety of community outreach programs.

Força is hosting a school supply drive through August 12.  All supplies can be dropped off at 2300 West Main Street, Suite #5, right next door to Feltner’s Athlete’s Corner here in Russellville.  We will be delivering our donations to schools from the Johnson and Pope county communities on August 12.  Click the link below for a list of needed supplies. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0oY-XEZwo94M1h3X0FpVDBtd1E/view

Our charity team will also be coordinating a clothing drive in September, a series of “Pink Events” in October focused on Breast Cancer Awareness, a food drive in November and a toy drive in December.

In addition to our Charity Team fundraising events and drives, Força also coordinates with The Russellville Police Boxing Club, a local non-profit organization to provide free boxing classes for youth and teens from throughout the River Valley.  Força also provides a non-profit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program for local youth, which fosters a structured and disciplined environment that promotes bully prevention, self-defense, goal setting and overall wellness.  We will be hosting a Car Wash on Saturday, August 29 in the parking lot of our location to help raise funds for the annual costs of the club.

Our newest community outreach program is called Project Warrior: Russellville Veteran’s Grappling Society will begin on holding classes on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 4:00pm.  This outreach program will provide free martial arts training, specifically Grappling and Self-Defense for all current and former members of the United States Military.

In addition to our Charity Team, Força offers a variety of teams, such as our Competition Team, youth and teen Black Belt, Elite, and Demo Teams, Leadership Team, Instructor Team.  Each team is comprised of individuals dedicated to self improvement and inspiring other.
