The plans for the April 16 grand opening and relocation of
Força Martial Arts & Fitness are coming together, and it’s going to be
grand indeed. The entire event will be free and open to the entire community of
Russellville. We would also love to have
as many Força members in attendance as possible to help continue our momentum
as the fastest growing martial arts academy in the River Valley. We will have plenty of space for everyone, as
the new location will have two separate mat spaces and competition boxing ring
and over twice the amount of square footage of our current location.
The grand opening will begin at 10:00 am with fitness
workshops, martial arts and fitness games, and fun activities for the
kids. In addition to having the new
space open for people to tour, we will also have bump-n-jumps for the kids,
martial arts demonstrations and workshops for all ages, as well as free food,
games and training for the entire community.
We have partnered with a variety of local businesses and organizations
to provide a wide range of fellowship opportunities for everyone in attendance.
We also have several workout sessions planned for all ages throughout the day, including fitness
regiments and bully-proofing and self-defense strategies. Following lunch, Master Danny Dring, 3rd
degree BJJ Black Belt and multi-style martial artist, will lead a grappling
session. A kickboxing workshop with
martial arts extraordinaire Mark Barber, as well as a self-defense session led
by Russellville Chief of Campus Police Joshua McMillan are on the afternoon
agenda.

Umami Sushi and Grill Fusion, Great Energy massage, and
numerous other local businesses are providing a variety of donation-based
services to help grow Força’s Community Outreach Programs, the umbrella organization
for our 501c3 non-profit, which includes the Russellville Police Boxing Club, Project
Warrior Grappling (Military/Law Enforcement), and Força’s Community Martial Arts
Program.
It promises to be a fun day with something for everyone.
