Kicking Yourself into Shape

Some people find that plodding on a treadmill for 30 minutes three times a week, just like the doctor ordered, to be the physical equivalent of watching paint dry. It’s not easy to stay motivated when your sole purpose is to get nowhere and get there slow.

To get you off the conveyor belt and on your way to your fitness goals, Força has developed a fun, fast, and effective fitness kickboxing program for people of all experience levels.  This class is great for those who want a little more kick to their routine while still getting a productive workout in a short amount of time. Just like the doctor ordered.

In this class, participants will enhance their stamina, build and tone muscle mass, and burn up to 800 calories in just 30-45 minutes twice a week!  They will also become familiar with basic kickboxing techniques, but with more emphasis placed on the fitness aspect of the art. Unlike a tacky cardio kickboxing video on Youtube, these classes consist of fundamental techniques taught with correct form and balanced with a proper regiment that promises results.

To kick off our new program, we are throwing down the fitness gauntlet with a 4-week Fitness Kickboxing Challenge where three contestants will win $250, $150, or $100 in cash! This challenge, which will include 9 distinct exercises, will be judged by how many reps each challenger can achieve in 60-seconds.  Points will be awarded throughout the full four weeks and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be determined based on total points at the end of the competition. There are 30 spaces available with a $14 buy-in for members and a $30 buy-in for non-members. The challenge will begin on Monday, April 18, following our Grand Opening weekend. See any staff member to get signed up TODAY and get fit!

April 16, the day of our Grand Opening, we will have a short fitness kickboxing trial workout  from 10:30-10:50am.  This will be a great opportunity to experience the classes at Forca and the environment of our academy.
